In October 2021, YMCA Humber were officially handed the keys to the new £8.5m development in Grimsby.
This new project allowed the relocating of almost 70 residents into this; their new home. The building provides 3 floors of aspirational accommodation including en-suite bedrooms and shared social spaces where residents can cook, eat and socialise together.
STJ Projects Ltd were employed by RG Carter to undertake the full Doorset Installation package comprising over 200 doorsets, alongside other bespoke joinery items, including:
bespoke timber Café servery frontal.
bespoke timber Welcome Reception Desk.
bespoke timber high level features.
bespoke timber large Sliding Partition.
external bike and storage facility.
Community facilities like YMCA Humber are so important to provide essential living skills that residents need when they move on to their own properties. They assist in developing living skills such as budgeting, cooking, maintaining a home, improving family relationships, mental health and accessing education and training.
The work was carried out to a high standard, both the doors and fire stopping – the doors are of excellent quality and have enhanced fire safety at this location.
