NAIC University of Warwick National Automotive Innovation Centre
Working with our friends Balfour Beatty, we were asked to supply and install bespoke Oak lean rail with a lacquered finish to the many metres within this new innovation new build for NAIC Jaguar Land Rover. This lean rail had sectional dimensions of 200mm x 50mm, profiled to client design.
The hand rail was also manufactured from the same Oak and with stainless steel termination pieces to both the lean rail and hand rail. This allowed the rails to flow seamlessly along viewing platforms and along staircases of the NAIC.
Beneath the lean rail, we manufactured and installed a hardwood capping which was sent to site and installed in a painted finish.
Over-sized Doors
While on site undertaking the rail works, we procured two bespoke doorsets to meet the difficult needs of the client usage. This was two matching pairs of doors, with each opening measuring 3600mm wide x 2800mm high, housed on pivots capable to handing such weight and use.
Good quality service. ST&J work with the main contractor not against. Skilled carpenters provided who not only produce good quality work but do so safely and quickly. Management of H&S from the office good with detailed RAMS produced in good time. Commercial management as it should be with mutual trust and the contract followed so that any variations are agreed in advance of the work and no surprises at final account.
