Doorset Manufacture

Our Doorset range has developed over years of experience, gained within doorset manufacture and on site delivery of both new build and refurbishment projects across many sectors.

The range is based on some of the best quality core materials available in the UK. The driving force for using such high quality materials ensures our doorsets give the maximum life span and serviceability with enhanced performance characteristics.

Precise specification and requirements are followed throughout the production process, meaning products meet requirements fully.

All of our Fire Rated Doorsets are manufactured to meet BS476 Part 22 1987 with additional quality controls and peace of mind through our accreditation and certification with BM Trada Q-Mark Fire Door Manufacture.

Doorset manufacture is carried out in house from start to finish, right down to face and frame finishes.

Core Materials

Door Cores:

We have chosen to work closely with two door cores manufacturers who manufacture cores to separate BM Trada Q-Mark accreditation, as this allows us to offer a wide range of products and finishes meaning we have a core suitable for all environments.

Solid Timber Cross Laminated cores are built up from 3 layers of either softwood or hardwood lamelled timbers, with outer faces of either HDF, MDF or Ply, offering solutions for all environments including moisture resistant and higher levels of durability and lifespan due to its robustness and resilience. These cores are ideally situated in environments including; high traffic, pivot configurations, challenging environments etc.

Particleboard cores are built up from a unique 3 layer particleboard specifically designed for their purpose using a combination of chemical and engineering development. These particleboard cores form quality doors for a wide range of environments to meet all budgets.

Lippings:

We lip all of our doors to all edges to provide the best quality and finish in quality joinery grade timber of various species to either match face finishes or contrast in both concealed or exposed lipping configurations.

Face Finishes

Veneers:

There is a vast array of species available for a plain veneer face finish. A further choice of stained veneers and inlaid veneers are available.

Laminate:

Working with a range of manufacturers, we are able to offer a versatile range of wood effects, solid colours, high gloss, textured and contemporary finishes including metal effects and exciting patterns.

We can laminate multiple colours/types to add interest and/or to highlight building zones etc.

PVC:

PVC face finishes can provide multiple benefits such as high impact and anti-bacterial properties. A wide range of solid colours and wood effects available can help ensure door appearances are in keeping to other door finishes nearby.

Paint Grade:

Our paint grade doors can be MDF, Ply or Kraft Paper faced to best suit your requirements. Our in house coating department can finish your doors either primed or complete with topcoat in either paint or lacquer.

Door Protection Items

Door Edge Guards:

Available in both Aluminium and PVC, door edge guards can combine protection to door edges with colour contrast if required. DEG’s are suitable for both single and double swing doors.

Door Face Protection:

PVC can be applied to certain heights or as a kick/mid rail plate to protect doors from items such as trollies, beds etc. This can be one solid colour or two tone with either straight, curved or wave effect ends.

Frame/Architrave Guards:

There are a choice of items available that will further protect your door frame and architrave from damage caused by multiple items.

Bollards:

Installation of Steel bollard posts to 1 or both sides of doors can be implemented, generally cross corridor and entrance doors in certain environments to help guide items such as beds through without causing damage to the doorset.

Vision Panels & Beading

Vision Panels:

We work with a wide range of glazing options that cover both integrity and insulation with regard to fire performance. Standard DDA options are available along with more complex multi aperture designs. Suitable glazing is available for challenging environments. Privacy Vision Panels can be incorporated in place when there is need for greater security and/or privacy.

Beading:

A choice of timber bead profiles are available including heavy duty designs. Bolt through steel beading is optional with certain vision panels, offering no visible fixings to one side.

Fire (& Smoke) Ratings

We can manufacture doorsets to the following ratings:

• FD30
• FD30s
• FD60
• FD60s

Acoustic properties are optional within the door manufacture.

Doorsets are a complex item in relation to their design and functions, however, we will do all we can to ensure we quickly fully understand your project needs and offer forward suitable elements within the design.

Anti-Barricade, Lockbacks, Steel Lined, Anti-Ligature, are all elements we use when required.
